After years of building organizations, leading teams, and delivering results for others, I made a defining decision: to stop climbing someone else’s ladder and apply everything I had learned to building something of my own.

Twice in my career, I earned my way into senior leadership only to see it disappear overnight due to decisions far beyond my control. When it happened again in 2019, I made a defining choice: I would no longer leave my future in someone else’s hands. Rather than starting over, I chose to build forward—applying everything I had learned to create something of my own, on my own terms.
I grew up in the Midwestern town of Youngstown, Ohio, in a service‑oriented family. My father was a public‑school music and art teacher who spent his summers running community programs for inner‑city youth, creating access to the arts where little existed. My mother worked for Ohio State University as a nutritionist, leading programs that helped low‑income families learn how to eat well on limited budgets. Together, they modeled service, responsibility, and purpose—values that continue to guide my life and work.

That foundation led me to the military, where I committed more than two decades to the Army National Guard, retiring at the rank of Major. Throughout my service, I held multiple leadership roles, including Platoon Leader, Unit Commander, and Squadron Logistics Officer. I trained and led soldiers across the country in demanding, high‑pressure environments that required discipline, adaptability, and decisive action. Leading from the front and taking responsibility for those under my command profoundly shaped how I lead and serve today.
Alongside my military career, I built a successful path in retail and corporate management, rising quickly into senior leadership by applying disciplined, results‑driven principles. While I delivered strong outcomes, I eventually recognized a recurring reality: long‑term control and stability were never fully in my hands. In 2019, I made the deliberate decision to redirect my leadership, accountability, and work ethic into my own full-time real estate business.

Real estate was not entirely new to me. In 2008, during a period of career transition, my wife Mary and I earned our real estate licenses to create new opportunities. Over the years, we continued helping friends, family, and clients navigate important real estate decisions whenever the opportunity arose. When I finally committed fully, the difference was immediate. The effort I invested translated directly into performance, growth, and meaningful client results.
Today, my business is built on accountability, communication, and disciplined execution. The values instilled in me early in life—strengthened by decades of leadership across military and corporate environments—shape how I serve my clients. I take full ownership of every detail, timeline, and outcome, ensuring my clients’ interests are protected from start to finish. My focus is simple: provide clarity, confidence, and results.
My business has grown consistently year over year, and I’ve had the opportunity to train and mentor other agents along the way. While growth matters, what matters most are the relationships I’ve built with individuals, families, and veterans who trust me during major life transitions. Being a steady, reliable presence in those moments is the most rewarding part of this work.

Beyond real estate, I remain actively committed to community service through my involvement with Community Emergency Response Teams, working alongside local authorities to prepare for and respond to emergencies. At home, Mary and I are proud of our large, blended family—five adult sons, their spouses, and eleven grandchildren spread across the country—which gives us the perfect reason to enjoy one of our greatest passions: travel.
This business represents a deliberate choice to lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and take full ownership of both process and outcome. It’s proof that strong values, disciplined leadership, and genuine care for people create lasting impact.
Buying or selling a home is one of the most significant financial decisions you will ever make, and it deserves thoughtful, personalized guidance. My approach begins with listening—understanding your goals, priorities, and timeline—so every recommendation aligns with what matters most to you.
From our first conversation through closing and beyond, I provide a concierge‑level experience rooted in transparency, patience, and attention to detail. Whether preparing in‑depth property insights, coordinating inspections, managing negotiations, or tracking critical deadlines, I take ownership of every moving part to ensure a smooth and confident process.
I look beyond the obvious, using creative strategies to market homes effectively, negotiate strong terms, uncover opportunities, and help clients build long‑term value. My role extends beyond the transaction—I strive to be a trusted advisor and advocate, fully invested in your success.
By pairing experience with disciplined execution and strong values, I help my clients move forward informed, supported, and prepared for what comes next.
Sincerely,

Mizell Ewing
